From raging whitewater rapids to small trickling streams and still ponds, water can evoke so many different interpretations and emotions. The unique thing about capturing the liquid element is the potential to portray it in totally different ways by the choice of shutter speed. A fast shutter freezes all of the movement and power within a scene while a slow shutter speed might change the atmosphere dramatically to one with a smooth and almost silky, tranquil flow of water. Definitely a favourite medium to shoot, probably until I sink my first set of gear.
